The project utilizes industry standard ESRI software to provide interactive
map display of Galveston County consisting of county boundaries, streets,
parcels and 1 meter resolution aerial photography superimposed as layers on a
map of Galveston County.
The map data includes a linked database of Galveston County Appraisal
District data by individual parcel. Subsequent additional layers planned are
city utilities (water, sewer), public utilities (gas lines, electric), and links
to individual home photos.
The site should be valuable to city planners, utility workers, real estate
professionals, developers, and the general public.
