The next meeting of the Galveston Community Network will be at noon, 25 July

at UTMB. The meeting will be held in Levin Hall, 5th floor, Room 5.521, the

distance

education studio. Levin Hall is located on the North side of Market St.

between 10th and 11th Streets. Parking is best in the parking garage on 8th

and Market. I will have about 15 tokens to get you out. Tokens will be

distributed to the low paid state employees first and the rest, if any, will

be distributed to vendors.

Agenda for the 25 July meeting:

- Update on TIFB Grant (It should be out by then)

- Start laying the groundwork for locations for public access locations for

TIFB Implementation grant

- Discuss strategy and start laying the groundwork for fund raising for the

match for TIFB Implementation grant and for needed investment in

infrastructure not covered by the grant

- Other business

At the last meeting we discussed:

- Goverance (I've sent out a draft by separate email)

- Reviewed TIFB Frequently asked questions

- Agreed on overall budget for the TIFB request

- Discussed the grant request and set up a working group meeting.
