Our next Galveston Community Network meeting will at noon Wed. 23 Jan at the McCullock Room 2nd Floor Rosenberg Library.

- Vendor Presentation by Fluke - Network equipment demo - 15 Minutes (Fluke has generously agreed to host lunch)
- Update on TIFB CN2 Implementation Plan (we hope to send out draft for review before meeting)
- Other business

At our last meeting we discussed -
- TIFB CN2 Grant - Discussed source of matching funds
-- Library software upgrade
-- Organizations signing up for wireless network paying connection fee as match
- Setting up an executive briefing
-- Dates are being finalized for 17 or 18 Jan.
- Reported on site visits
- Future organization for GCN
-- decided to establish a non profit entity

- 1/14 - Agenda -Review Second Draft of Implementation Plan

- 1/22 (TUES due to Martin Luther King Holiday) - Agenda - Finalize Implementation Plan

Prior to the 12/10 Planning Group meeting each group that signed the GCN agreement needs to send a 1/2-1 page description of who they are, what they

will provide to the GCN in conjunction with the TIFB Grant, and what they expect to get out of the partnership. Please include mission statement for

your organization. Please send these to conways@tamug.tamu.edu and copy Kathy Wohlgehangen (wohlgehagenK@elert.com). It is very important for the lead person for each institution that signed the original agreement (posted on our web site - www.tamug.tamu.edu/gcn ) to make sure this info gets sent.
